No. You do not need any previous performance experience to join our Musical Theatre classes at Tap ’n Arts Dance Studio. Our program welcomes children and teens ages 3 to 18, from complete beginners to students with prior experience in acting, singing, dancing, or performing.

Classes are organized by age and experience level, ensuring every student feels comfortable, supported, and appropriately challenged. Whether your child is stepping onto the stage for the first time or looking to develop their performance skills, our experienced instructors create a positive, encouraging environment where every performer can build confidence, improve stage presence, explore creativity, express themselves, and enjoy learning.

For Musical Theatre classes at Tap ’n Arts Dance Studio, we want every performer to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to shine! Students should wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for full movement, such as leggings, fitted tops, athletic wear, dancewear, or other studio-appropriate clothing. Clean, non-marking dance shoes or appropriate performance footwear may be required depending on class activities. Outdoor shoes are not permitted on the studio floor.

Tap ’n Arts Dance Studio spirit wear is always welcome! Please avoid denim, skirts, dresses, or loose-fitting clothing that could restrict movement or create a safety hazard. For safety reasons, jewelry—including necklaces, bracelets, watches, and large earrings—is not permitted. Hair should be securely pulled back and away from the face when needed so performers can move freely and safely.
